YOUNG Harry Stone has proved to be a bookworm in the making after successfully completing a Mythical Maze Summer Reading Challenge.

To take part in the adventure, Harry, aged three, had to collect stickers - some of which were smelly - and fill in a Mythical Maze poster from his local library.

But to get the stickers and qualify for a certificate and a medal he had to read at least six books during the summer holiday.

Harry, who attends Acorns Nursery at West Somerset College, in Minehead, was awarded his certificate and medal by nursery manager Julie Lindley (pictured).

"We are very proud of Harry," said Mrs Lindley.

"It is fantastic for such a young child to be involved in a reading challenge and to actually see him complete it."

The Mythical Maze was created by top illustrator Sarah McIntyre and was aimed at children aged between four and 11.

Their reading journey took them around a labyrinth featuring fantastical creatures from the world of legend and mythology, collecting stickers of each character along the way.
