MUSIC lovers from Minehead can spend Christmas Eve listening to live music performed by an acoustic musician at a pub in the town (December 2022).
Professional singer and guitarist Andy Doran will be playing at The Old Ship Aground on Quay Street on Saturday, December 24 from 11am until 3pm.
Rosie Gubb, general manager at The Old Ship Aground, said: “This is a real treat for our customers, who love live music. Andy will be playing a mix of his relaxed classic and traditional songs, with some Christmas tunes thrown in, to get everyone into the festive spirit.”
Entry to the event is free and food and drinks can be purchased from the bar.
Andy sings and plays acoustic guitar at pubs, clubs, functions, restaurants and hotel lounges across the South West. His repertoire includes a variety of classic and modern cover tracks.
He has toured with the late, great Cornish comedian, Jethro, and performed for King Charles III, when he was Prince Charles, and for the young Princes William and Harry.
He said: “What a fantastic way to spend Christmas Eve, in a cosy pub, enjoying dinner or drinks with a chance to singalong to some modern day tunes and some classics. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone and playing for them and I hope it helps spread some good cheer before the big day.”
