PORLOCK Guerilla Odd Job Squad has been back in action – this time planting up and distributing floral displays around the village.

Monthly community soup and meal days have raised money to provide the displays, each of which has its own ‘minder’ to feed and water it.

Considerable help was given to the project organisers by council gardeners Matt and Richard, from Minehead, and Rod Pooley, from Blaise nursery in Bristol. The organisers were inspired by the Minehead floral displays.

Porlock’s floral initiative is an ongoing project aimed at creating an even more attractive village.
