BLOOD, sweat and tears have paid off for seven Minehead boys who each Wednesday night meet at the Minehead Sports and Leisure Centre to practise roller hockey with coach Phil Wilson.

This season they have gone from strength to strength, with two of the team members, Chris Flatly and top scorer Andy Wilson, being picked for the South West Regional team, with Andy also being nominated dream player of the season.

The team beat all the odds to come fourth in the South West League and qualify to play in the national finals at Hartlepool on Saturday and Sunday, November 4 and 5.
