New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to eight of Somerset’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to six restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Hillier at Cheddar Garden Centre, Draycott Road, Cheddar; rated on June 7

• Rated 5: Costa Coffee at Carnival Way, North Petherton; rated on June 6

• Rated 5: Nutmeg House at 6-10 Clare Street, Bridgwater; rated on May 25

• Rated 5: Edelweiss Restaurant at The Cliffs, Cheddar; rated on May 24

• Rated 5: Bridge Restaurant at 5 Binford Place, Bridgwater; rated on May 23

• Rated 5: Stepping Out at Bawdrip Parish Hall, Eastside Lane, Bawdrip; rated on May 23

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

And one rating has been handed to a pub, bar or nightclub:

• Rated 5: Burnham Association of Sports Clubs at Stoddens Road, Burnham On Sea; rated on June 9
