ROADWATER grandfather Chris Sampson has been bitten by the volunteering bug after becoming a Games Maker for the London 2012 Olympics.
Mr Sampson has already put his name down as a volunteer for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow 2014 after working as a volunteer driver during this year's Olympics.
He was based at the Weymouth sailing centre and in between his formal duties was able to take time out to visit his daughter and family in nearby Bournemouth.
There, he was joined by an unofficial Games Maker - his five-year-old granddaughter Elizabeth.

"My granddaughter now has to wear her own accreditation when she goes out in the family car!
"I had a great time at Weymouth with both transport depot staff and volunteers; they were a terrific bunch," Mr Sampson said.
