A WARD in Minehead Community Hospital has been supplied with up-to-date and much needed equipment plus some patio furniture.

The hospital’s League of Friends gave Exmoor ward a patient hoist, four blood pressure machines and a chair-bed for relatives wishing to stay overnight with very poorly patients.

Senior Sister Hayley Welsh said: “We have been working with the League of Friends on improving the ward’s equipment and chairman Margaret Grizzell and the committee agreed to supply it.

“We would like to thank the League Of Friends for their continued support for Minehead Hospital and for the improvement of patients’ quality of care.”
