FOUR close friends completed a 24-hour walk around Wimbleball Lake and raised almost £4,000 for charity.

Between them, Vicky Stevens, Hannah Norman, Jess Bishop and Holly York completed 115 miles in 24 hours, supported by friends and family joining them along the way, in memory of their best friend Emma Harris, who died of bowel cancer at the age of 29.

The final amount raised from donations and cake sales on the day was £3,920 and the money will be donated to Bowel Cancer UK, St Margaret’s Hospice and The Butterfly Book Award, which was set up in Emma’s memory by her mother.
