SIR — On behalf of the West Somerset Talking Newspaper, I would like to thank the Free Press for all the help it gives our organisation throughout the year.

Every fortnight on a Thursday, the Free Press prepares an early copy of the next day's paper for our teams to read and record so that the Talking Newspaper can be posted to listeners on the day the paper comes out.

On Thursday December 5, the day of Williton's Christmas Festival, the Free Press went an extra mile by giving us our copy extra early so that recording could take place in our studios in the centre of Williton before the somewhat noisy celebrations commenced.

I should also like to take this opportunity of reminding Free Press readers that if they, or someone they know, is blind or visually impaired and would like to receive the Talking Newspaper free of charge, they should contact our membership secretary Alan Coomber on 01984 632766.
