New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to eight of Somerset’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to two restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 4: Strand Cafe at Warren Road, Minehead, Somerset; rated on March 26

• Rated 4: Tuckers at 48a High Street, Taunton, Somerset; rated on March 25

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

And four ratings have been handed to pubs, bars or nightclubs:

• Rated 4: Foresters Arms at 33 West Street, Dunster, Somerset; rated on March 25

• Rated 4: The Maypole Inn at Thurloxton, Taunton; rated on March 25

• Rated 4: The Old Inn at Bishops Hull Road, Bishops Hull, Taunton; rated on March 25

• Rated 1: The Albion Inn at 14 Bath Road, Ashcott Bridgwater; rated on March 27
