TWO tickets to travel on the Flying Scotsman when it visits Minehead in September and dinner for two on the West Somerset Railway’s Quantock Belle dining train are among the raffle prizes to be won at Carhampton’s village fete tomorrow (Saturday).

“The fete is held to raise funds for various voluntary village organisations and we are thrilled to be able to offer some really special prizes and other attractions which we hope will bring in the crowds,” said committee member Lucy Parker.

“As well as a BBQ and our the normal stalls , handicrafts and skittles, we have developed the rural craft side of things this year.

“There will be displays from a local thatcher, the Exmoor Bee Keepers and spinners.

“Vintage tractors and engines and classic cars will also be on show and we think all these attractions will be of great interest to both local people and visitors alike.”

The fete at the recreation ground opens at 1pm.
