THE first ever co-operative train company is being launched in the South West and is intended to be designed by passengers, for passengers.
The Go-op Co-operative is launching lines from Taunton to Swindon and from Taunton to Weston-Super-Mare.
What makes the route from Taunton to Swindon different is because it joins up two existing routes, and because it calls at fast growing towns Go-op feel have been neglected for too long.
Towns these lines stop at include Frome, Melksham and Bridgwater.
A fundraiser has been launched alongside the train operating company with a target of £2.6 million. These investments are intended to be a balanced blend of social impact and healthy, long term capital growth.
