Christmas cheer came to Porlock with a bang over the weekend.

The annual Porlock Late Night Shopping event on Saturday saw shopkeepers welcome customers with tipples and treats as they browsed the goods on display.

And in the High Street they enjoyed the various entertainment and refreshments on display, from the Dovery Manor Museum at one end to the Porlock Visitor Centre at the other.

The event is linked with Porlock Santa Festival, which started the previous day with shops, businesses, accommodation providers, pubs and restaurants displaying their very own Santa, from life-size stuffed versions to small toys.

The Santa Trail guide is available from a variety of premises along the High Street and everyone has a chance to vote for their favourite of the 24 entries before voting closes at noon tomorrow (Saturday December 16).
