FESTIVAL organisers are bringing a feast of food and drink to Minehead, featuring over 90 producers plus a line-up of entertainment.
Called eat:Minehead, the festival on Saturday October 12 will focus on three sites – along The Avenue, in the Beach Hotel and at the Old Hospital.
Produce will include farmers’ markets favourites like ales, bread and cheese alongside top quality street food with world flavours made with local ingredients.
The festival is backed by Minehead BID and local estate agents Wilkie May and Tuckwood.
In the Old Hospital will be The Cook School – drop-in workshops hosted by Chrissie Godfrey, of Delicious, in Taunton. She will helping people make their own vegan Italian treats. The workshops are suitable for eight-year-olds and designed for families to work together.
At The Beach Hotel there will be chef demos, beamed live onto large display screens and showing local talent, including students from West Somerset College and Foxes.
The event is fully accessible and there are plenty of gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian and dairy-free options as well as smaller portions.
It is also single-use plastic free and all food to go packaging is fully compostable. The festival opens at 10am and runs until 4pm. Further information can be found at www.eatfestivals.org.
