What a fantastic tribute paid to key workers last week, especially those working for the NHS.

I am a registered care manager for a local domicilliary care provider and have been for the past 12 years.

On both a professional and personal level, I would like to locally acknowledge and thank community care workers across all care providers.

Day in day out, they are tirelessly ensuring some of our most vulnerable citizens are receiving the care and support they need.

With current Government guidelines, it is difficult for families to offer the additional care and support to their loved ones, so we are even more reliant on our community carers.

As well as carrying out many important tasks, they are on many occasions the only face some of our family members are seeing at this moment in time.

Community carers are truly unsung heroes: thank you for all you do
