Letters from our readers across West Somerset and beyondMusicians, church leaders, trade unionists, university students and schoolchildren joined with members of the West Somerset Intercultural Friendship Group and Amnesty International in Wellington Square, which was decked with flags, bunting and placards supporting cultural diversity.
The event was organised in response to the sharp increase in reported racist hate crimes in the past few weeks and people talked to shoppers and tourists about the positive aspects of immigration.
