DESPITE the closure of the road from Blue Anchor, Watchet is hoping to welcome capacity crowds next week for a packed programme of special half-term holiday events for all the family - with a backdrop of shop-window displays on a Valentine theme.

“There will be everything from activity trails and a stained glass workshop to gypsy jazz and a fossil walk,” said Watchet visitor centre manager Fiona Payne. “With the road being shut, we need to make sure that local people and visitors are aware of all the great things going on here.”
