The leading figures in the controversy over holding a funfair in Minehead during the coronavirus crisis this week put their case to Free Press readers. MP Ian Liddell-Grainger claims that the five-day event “undermined the efforts so many have made to keep West Somerset a low-risk area” but Minehead town councillor Toni Bloomfield maintains that every precaution was taken to make sure the fair conformed to government regulations.
