MINEHEAD and District Refugee Support Group is holding a vintage and collectables fair on Saturday, August 4, to help cover the cost of treating Syrian families now living in Somerset.
With the support of local churches, Minehead Amnesty and other organisations, the support group has been hosting holidays and days out for the families.
Already, cricket on the beach for children – some of whom have never before seen the sea or had a family holiday – has been very popular, as have cream teas and shopping.
To generate funds for transport from Taunton and other expenses, the group is holding the fair at The Avenue Methodist Church, in Minehead, from 9.30am to 1pm on August 4. Refreshments will be available.
