EMINENT veterinary surgeon Peter Green will be the guest speaker at West Somerset and Exmoor Bridleways Association’s AGM on Thursday (November 12).
Well known and respected in the equine world, he will be giving a talk on ‘The Origin of the Horse: What We Know So Far’.
In 2013, Peter researched and wrote a report on the status, welfare and future of free-living ponies in the national park which has been widely accepted as an important document for a viable future for Exmoor ponies living on the moor.
He has also researched the origins of the domestic horse and the part that genetics have played in the evolution of horses.
