MEN working in farming and related businesses on Exmoor are being invited to a social evening and steak supper night at the Woolhanger Estate.

The supper, at 7 pm on May 7, organised by the Elston family and the Exmoor Hill Farming Network, is a get-together for the area’s close-knit farming community following the death of Robin Elston last December.

It also marks the successful award of a grant from Devon Community Foundation toward mental health support for the farming community.

A network spokesperson said: “It will be a social evening to get away from the farm and meet up with like-minded people.”

The cost is £12.50 and places should be booked by Monday, May 4, by emailing [email protected] or calling 01643 841455.
