The children will have the opportunity to be creative themselves for the Recycle Challenge - each school has been asked to take along rubbish collected over the preceding week and will have an hour to make their own recycled beasts or bug models.
A chance to rummage around in the woods and dip into the Nettlecombe streams is then on offer for the Great MiniBeast Hunt when children will be able to search for their own real mini-beasts and creepy crawlies.
Park education officer Dave Gurnett said: "We have had afantastic response to the day from schools and are looking forward to having lots of fun, with the underlying message that recycling and sustainability really matter.
"We are very grateful to Somerset County Council's Sustainable Somerset Green Bus Scheme for subsidising the cost of transport for the schools which has certainly helped produce such a good response."
