Watchet's first Biodiversity festival will take place at the Phoenix Centre and on the Esplanade at Wathet on Saturday (April 27).

Local interest groups including the Watchet Hedgehog group and Watchet Gardeners group will join Gekoella and local environmental artist, Becci Shaw, to deliver a fun-filled family event.

The aim is to highlight the importance of understanding and protecting our local wildlife and habitats. As part of their commitment to this, the Watchet Coastal Community group is helping to fund and organise the event which means that ticket costs have been kept to a minimum and include a free lunch and up to four children under 16.

The event is hoped will provide the basis for future collaboration and events.
