THE Royal Ballet’s The Winter’s Tale will be screened at the Minehead Regal live from the Royal Opera House in London’s Covent Garden on Wednesday, May 22 at 7.15pm.

Shakespeare’s profound story of love and loss, artfully adapted into a contemporary three-act narrative ballet by Artistic Associate Christopher Wheeldon with music by Joby Talbot, celebrates its tenth anniversary.

King Leontes of Sicilia is crippled with an all-consuming jealousy when his friend, King Polixenes of Bohemia, stays with him and his wife Hermione. What follows is a tale where a marriage is destroyed, a child is abandoned and all hope is seemingly lost.

Tickets cost £15.50, Regal Theatre Friends £15, Film Society members/Students/ES40s £13, under 14s £10. Call the Regal box office on 01643 706430.
