IMAGINATIVE flower arrangements inspired by favourite pieces of music ranging from Vivaldi to Patsy Cline, will be on display at Carhampton Flower Club’s popular flower festival in the village’s St John the Baptist Church from August 22 to 25.
She added that the club hoped to exceed the 2023 record £1,500 sum raised for church funds.
The festival will be open from 10 am to 4 pm and will include a craft stall and hot and cold refreshments throughout the day.

A total of 21 exhibitors have drawn inspiration for ambitious floral displays from everything from wedding music and prayers to country music, pop songs, and well-loved musical shows.
Floral tributes to religious subjects will include the Lord’s Prayer, the hymn All things Bright and Beautiful and the children’s hymn When a Knight Won His Spurs.
Classical masterpieces will be represented by Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, Jupiter from Holst’s Planet Suite, and Lakme’s Flower Duet.
Displays depicting songs from musicals will include Chess, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dream Coat, My Fair Lady, Phantom of the Opera, and Moulin Rouge.
The classic movie the Wizard of Oz will come alive in flowers, as will the American country music mecca The Grand Ole Oprey, which celebrates its centenary this year.

Welsh folk music and the classic Greensleeves will also be represented.
Another exhibit will depict wedding music from the classic Mendelssohn Wedding March to popular modern favourites by Ed Sheeran, Bryan Adams, and Whitney Houston.
Pop music turns to flower power with floral representations of Duran Duran’s Wild Boys, and Paper Roses, which has been sung by 33 pop stars since it was first released in 1960.
