A SECOND Watchet Jumble Trail next weekend will have more than 70 sellers taking part as residents take the opportunity to sell items from their homes, gardens, and driveways right across the town.
The community event is being staged on Sunday (May 30) from 10 am to 4 pm and follows the success of the first jumble trail which took place last year on Easter Monday.
Organiser Kate Kennedy said: “A jumble trail is like a giant community car boot sale spread across the town, where visitors can follow a trail map to discover hidden treasures, vintage finds, toys, clothes, homeware, books, plants, crafts, art, and much more.
“Make a full day of it in Watchet, enjoy brunch, lunch, or takeaway picnic food from our cafés, pubs, deli, and local shops, grab an ice cream, relax on the beach, or sit on the benches along the Esplanade and enjoy the views.
“Paper maps will be available a couple of days before the event from Watchet Visitor Centre for a donation.
“There will also be an online map available via a QR code, which will be shared on the Facebook page, posters around the town, and on the paper maps themselves.
“We cannot wait to welcome everybody for a brilliant community day.
“We hope the event will bring visitors into the town, support the local community, and create a fun day out for families and bargain hunters alike.”
Ms Kennedy said the £5 seller fees and any donations raised from the event would go toward helping Washford-based South Coast Waves cheerleaders, who next year will travel to the world championships in Florida, USA.
She said: “The team have worked incredibly hard and the community is proud to support them.”
