AN open air theatre performance will be given in Stogursey next month as the Rude Mechanical Theatre Company returns to the village.

It will be performing a new production on Friday, July 24, of ‘The Wife’ in the grounds of Fairfield House, which is inspired by Chaucer’s ‘Wife of Bath’.

A spokesperson said: “Bursting with live music, original songs and larger-than- life characters, ‘The Wife’ is a bold, funny, and beautifully told story.

“Expect an evening of laughter, mischief, and storytelling under the open sky.”

Eastbourne-based Rude Mechanical Theatre Company has been touring outdoor theatre across the UK for more than 25 years, providing magical evenings of entertainment in gardens, village greens, and parks.

Tickets are available online and the gates open at 6 pm.
