WATCHET boxer Andrew Woodward has been selected for the Young England team which takes on Young Scotland on Monday.
He will make his international debut against a tough opponent, A Byrne from Glasgow, who has won 81 of his 85 contests.
Seven times the Scottish champion, he has also won the Gaelic title - Ireland, Wales and Scotland - twice.
Andrew, who is studying and training at the East Durham and Houghall College Boxing Academy, is looking forward to the challenge at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London.
Coach Frank Collinson said Andrew's selection presents the opportunity for him to become a member of the World Class Performers Programme if he shows his ability and potential.
