AN open day is being held by Engage at its premises in Alcombe Village Hall tomorrow to give people a chance to find out what it does.

Engage Voluntary Sector Development is a charity supporting voluntary and community organisations across Somerset West and Taunton.

Chief officer Katrina Midgley said: “Many people think of Engage as a furniture re-use charity but we do much more."

Trustees, staff and volunteers will be available to answer questions and tell people about the work Engage does in supporting other charities and community groups. This covers everything from how to become a charity, to funding and finding volunteers.

People are invited to attend the open day between 10am and 3pm when tea, coffee and cake will be available.

Engage is also looking for more volunteers to help out in all aspects of its work.

Anyone who is interested but not able to go tomorrow is welcome to visit during the store’s normal opening hours, 9.30am to 5pm Tuesday to Friday, and 10am to 2pm on Saturday.
