KING Edward Road Nursery in Minehead has been awarded a ’good’ grading in its first Ofsted report since it opened.
An inspection at the nursery, which opened two years ago, concluded it was good in all four areas assessed: Effectiveness of leadership and management; quality of teaching, learning and assessment; personal development, behaviour and welfare; outcomes for children
“We are very happy with the outcome of the inspection,” said manager Shelley Hooper
“As usual our children behaved wonderfully, and parents made very positive comments to the inspector.
“The ’good’ judgment reflects the hard work of our whole staff team, I am very proud of them.”
Paul Rushforth, chief executive officer of the West Somerset Academies Trust which the nursery is part of, said: “Shelley and her team run a lovely and very effective nursery, and the inspection report demonstrates how hard they have worked since the trust opened it in April 2017.”
The nursery has 75 children on its roll, with places for 40 to attend per day.
A full report is in this week’s Free Press (April 5).
