AN overwhelming majority of residents and visitors voted The 5Quarters shop as winner of Dunster’s Christmas window competition.

Situated in the High Street, The 5Quarters is run by mother and daughter team Val and Andrea Brown.

“The idea for the window came from Chris Dunn’s cards that we sell in our shop and which show fairytale views into the houses of animals,” Andrea said.

The intricate window took three months of planning, collecting the materials and assembling. The five metre display was built of five separate pieces and depicts a woodland scene with little houses covered in moss, foliage, miniature wreaths, toadstools and animals.

All the work was done by Andrea and her husband Andy: “The feedback has been incredible,” said Andrea.
