As part of their centenary celebrations, Dunster WI members planted two birch trees in the community residents’ garden at Castle Fields, Dunster, on March 13.

One tree was planted by president Pat Curling assisted by WI member Jackie Meakes, who is also head gardener of the community gardens. The second tree was planted by vice-president Beryl Priddle, assisted by secretary Brenda Moore.

After the planting members, stood and sang Jerusalem and were applauded by some of the residents who had attended the planting.

Dunster WI’s report on its centenary meeting is in the Town & Village column in this week’s Free Press.
