A successful meeting took place, the officers were re-elected and it was decided to hold a show in 2002, subject to confirmation from DEFRA.
The officers for 2002 are: President Mr Edgar Price, deputy president Mr Alan Gregory, chairman Mr Edward Down, treasurer Mr John Addicott and secretary Mrs Rebecca Langdon.
The Dunster Show Committee would like to thank all those people who have supported them throughout what has been a very difficult year due to the outbreak of foot and mouth disease.
The committee are pleased to announce that because of your support they have been able to continue paying the bursaries for the two pupils at Brymore School, Cannington, who are now in their second year and making very good progress.
They have also been able to make donations to the following charitable organisations: Porlock Riding for the Disabled, West Somerset Carriage Driving for the Disabled, Devon Air Ambulance, Dorset and Somerset air Ambulance and West Somerset Training Group.
The committee have also been able to support some of the organisations who normally give displays. These include Devon and Somerset Staghounds, Minehead Harriers, West Somerset Foxhounds and West Somerset Beagles.
We look forward to a successful show in 2002.
