DUNSTER by Candlelight was one of the best ever – according to Hannah Bradshaw, who founded the event in 1986.

The weather was cold but clear on both Friday and Saturday nights last week as thousands of people thronged the streets, enjoying entertainers, music, stalls, activities and “stunning” new Christmas tree lights.

The whole village was involved in providing two nights to remember, from the Tithe Barn and Memorial Hall to the church and castle.

“It was lovely to see so many people – there were no gaps in the High Street. There was such an ambience and everyone was in a happy mood,” said Hannah.
