WEST Somerset Council will raise an extra £4,000 to £5,000 a year by increasing parking charges in Dulverton from April, councillors agreed at their meeting last week.

The district council also agreed to increase charges at the Tarr Steps car park from £2 to £3 for stays between 10am and 6pm. Councillors were told Exmoor National Park Authority had asked for the rise to support continued investment in the parking asset.
