PUPILS from two West Somerset first schools donned their creative thinking caps to put their stamp on vehicles that help keep the county's roads moving.
The schools entered by tweeting to the Twitter account Somerset County Council has dedicated to information on winter road maintenance - @somersetgritter.
And this week both schools were visited by the gritter they had named, along with the county council's mascot Sparky.
In Dunster, the children's choice of 'Drifter' was unveiled as the new marking on one of the cabs, while in Porlock, 'Dubric' made its first public appearance.
Both gritters will be salting a route in West Somerset to keep ice and snow at bay during the winter weather.
