KNIGHTS Templar First School in Watchet held its double sports day on Thursday - one of the few fine days of the summer.
The first sports 'day' was held in the morning for Key Stage One pupils in front of a crowd of 200 to 300 parents.
Vice-chairman of governors Linda Bulpin presented the badges for those who came in the first three.
Many of the races had a novelty theme from being dressed as a swimmer to a jubilee theme where the 'Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh' did their shopping at the local Mace store.
In the afternoon, the Key Stage Two children ran their sports in front of an equally big crowd.
Once again, there was a variety of races with chairman of governors Penny Gibbons presenting the badges.
As in previous years, the highlight of this sports was the long distance where 80 pupils volunteered to run a half-mile course. Both races had exciting finishes and receivdc rapturous applause from the crowd.
