I was very disappointed to see that the bid for funding to go towards replacing a lifeboat by the RNLI at Minehead was rejected (Free Press March 9).

And rejected by the Hinkley Point C Planning Obligations Board. Who are they, and what are their priorities?

The RNLI is not government funded, which is probably a good thing, and is funded independently, so it needs all the help it can get in order to continue saving lives.

I wonder how the Hinkley Point C Planning Obligations Board justifies its decision? No doubt there’s something in the ‘small print’.

Very disappointing.
