Members of the Forget Me Not Café in Watchet can look forward to a canal trip in May thanks to a fundraising dinner at the town’s Spice Merchant restaurant.

Massive improvements approved for deteriorating Watchet Coastguard StationAs part of its community action programme, the restaurant supports the café by hosting an annual charity fundraiser, and this year more than 50 people sat down to a delicious spicy supper.
The money raised will go toward a trip on the Tiverton canal in a horse-drawn boat in May .
Organiser Margaret Tatham, of the Watchet Dementia Alliance, thanked manager Iqbal Hussain and his staff for the evening and the local businesses which gave raffle prizes.
