SIR — I write with regard to the dog missing from Pitleigh Kennels, Wheddon Cross (Free Press January 5).
Some time ago I found myself in an emergency, with my four dogs, on the way to hospital. Mrs. Brown collected them at 7 am, and they stayed with her for two years while I was unable to care for them.
They were wonderfully cared for, and had complete freedom in the securely fenced grounds.
Three were small very active toy dogs. I could not have found anywhere as safe for them.

Community support as heads cycle to all eight Moorland Federation schools in a dayI feel great sympathy for the lady concerned, I know what my feelings would be, but I also extend my sympathy to Mrs Brown and staff in this sad matter as I know how devoted they are to pets left in their care.
