Minehead Dementia Action Alliance says the group has won grants from Minehead Town Council and the Somerset Community Foundation.

The group received £500 from the town council and £1,000 from Somerset Community Foundation.

Trustee Peter Morley said: "This funding will enable us to further our aim of making Minehead a dementia-friendly community where people with memory loss and their carers can continue to live well and be part of our community. We are also very grateful to our friends and supporters who have made donations in memory of a loved one."

Minehead Dementia Action Alliance organises activities including twice-weekly lunches at Foxes Hotel; a monthly meal out in a local pub and a monthly memory-loss support group at Foxes Hotel. For more details, phone Della Paine on 07510 962567.
