SIX Watchet organisations and businesses came together at the Corner House Café to celebrate their efforts to create a dementia friendly community.
The new members of Watchet Dementia Action Alliance were presented with certificates by county Cllr Hugh Davies at the event on February 16.
Each organisation has completed an action plan to show what they can do to help make everyone in Watchet aware of the needs of people living with dementia.
After the presentation, Dementia Friends Champions Janet Wagener and Margaret Tatham gave a talk at the end of which, all present – including photographer Keith Wiseman and Cllr Davies – became individual dementia friends.
