MINEHEAD-based Spotlight Dance Academy entered its first ever competition at the weekend – and came home with eight trophies and over 45 medals. 

The academy was up against dance schools from all over the country, displaying skills in solo, duet and group dances.

Qualified dance teacher Laura Cook said: “I am so incredibly proud of every single dancer. They have all worked so hard displaying beautiful poise and dedication and we all had a brilliant weekend. Big smiles all round!”
