Alan Thomas XI

AN undefeated record going back over 20 years was lost on Sunday when Alan Thomas XI defeated Bridgetown by eight wickets.

RNLI v Minehead United Banks

MINEHEAD United Banks visited Ponsford Road on Tuesday to try and gain revenge on Minehead RNLI and came away with an emphatic seven wicket victory.

Tight bowling from the Banks in the shape of Barney, Baker, Smith, Jones and Baker senior and the athleticism of Donny Foster restricted the home side's advances and it was only when the injured Ross Hartgen came to the crease that the Banks were put under real pressure.

In reply, Adam Jones continued his recent impressive spell of batting form, retiring with his wicket intact on 50.

The Banks kept the score ticking over nicely thanks to debutant Smith, and he and Craig Sully saw the visitors home with six overs to spare.
