TWO teenagers admitted stealing scooters from the Minehead Eye youth centre and skatepark when they appeared before magistrates in Taunton on Thursday (April 23).
The youths, one aged 15 and from Highbridge, and the other a 16-year-old from Bridgwater, each faced a charge of burglary when they were brought before Taunton Deane Magistrates Court.
They admitted entering a staff area of Minehead Eye and stealing two scooters valued at £220 on February 28 this year.
The magistrates made a youth referral order for four months for the 15-year-old, while the 16-year-old was remanded on bail for a pre-sentence review to be prepared before a further hearing on June 18.
Neither youth can be named because the law protects the identity of criminals under the age of 18 years.
