SIR — I attended the Minehead Town Council meeting last Thursday evening hoping to hear some resolve on the future of the tourist information centre.
But all that seemed to happen was bickering between councillors — the older councillors will obviously never agree with the new councillors, who are trying to inject some life into Minehad.
We then heard how the Development Trust wishes to run the TIC in one of the empty shops in the town. Why can they not use the TIC building on the seafront, purpose built for this use, then move it into the hospital building when ready as they plan to, but we all know that will be at least ten years, if ever.
So alas, nothing was resolved on the future of the TIC or the football club, and nothing will ever be until these councillors start working together for the future of the town.
