THERE will be two opportunities to look round the garden at Elworthy Cottage next week – it is open for the National Gardens Scheme tomorrow and Thursday (May 28 and 31).

Watchet Wansbrough Paper Mill closure remembered 10 years on with artwork and talksAt this time of year, the garden is full of colour from perennials such as hardy geraniums, alliums, poppies, cornflowers, astrantias and violas as well as many unusual flowering shrubs and trees.
There is also a decorative and productive vegetable garden and wildflower areas, and the garden is planted to encourage birds, bees and butterflies.
Lots of seats are dotted around, offering good views of the surrounding countryside.
The garden is open from 11am to 5pm with ea and coffee and cakes, and plants for sale. Admission £3.50, free for children.
