POLICE are appealing for information after a vandal attacked every window in Minehead's Costa café, causing thousands of pounds of damage. They are keen to trace the man seen in the CCTV image above, believing he may have important information to help them with their inquiries. The attack happened sometime between 11.35pm on Good Friday and 6.10am on Saturday. Seven panes of glass were damaged but staff still managed to open on time. A Costa spokesman said: "We can confirm there was an incident that occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning whereby our store windows of our Minehead shop were vandalised. "We are now committed to working with the local police to identify the perpetrator of this damage. "Following thorough safety checks, our store was secured and remained open to be able to serve Minehead's coffee-loving community, a testament to our store team's dedication despite the difficult circumstances." A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said officers had taken photographs of the damage and searched the area in their hunt for clues: "We are continuing our inquiries to identify the person responsible. "Anyone who saw the damage being caused or knows who is responsible should call us on 101 and quote 38883/14."
