A MINEHEAD charity that helps people with additional needs is celebrating its first anniversary – and looking forward to expanding its services to offer a new lunch club, called Cook and Chatter.
Positive Aims, which already runs the Tuesday Club with staff from the former Somerset Skills and Learning Centre, and promotes independent living and lifelong learning, is inviting supporters and anyone interested to come along and enjoy special celebration cake and a hot drink on Tuesday, February 12.
The celebration will be held at the charity’s regular venue, the community hall in Alcombe Road, and visitors are invited to drop in between 11am and 3pm.
“Our thanks to all who have supported Positive Aims so generously over the past year, and we invite anyone interested in this valuable community charity to come along and enjoy a piece of special cake, made and decorated by members, and a cup of tea or coffee with us,” a spokesman said.

People will also be able to learn about healthy eating and chat with others about living well, as well as enjoying eating with others and making new friends.
