ST Decuman’s Church in Watchet will be bedecked with more than 40 illuminated Christmas trees at the weekend.

The Christmas Tree Festival and Fayre opens at 10am on Friday and culminates in an Advent christingle service at 4pm on Sunday, December 3.

Trees reflecting this year’s theme, ‘The Colours of Christmas’, have been provided mainly by organisations, churches and schools in Watchet and Williton.

On Saturday, the Christmas Fayre will see heavily laden stalls, an attractive raffle and other prizes, plus hot bacon rolls and soup from midday.

The Christmas Tree Festival will be open from 10am to 5pm on Friday and Saturday.
